Anyone who has read Garth Ennis’ series about Reverend Jesse Custer should be VERY excited to hear that Seth Rogan and AMC are collaborating on a new series based on the DC/Vertigo comic.

The series follows Reverend Custer after he is accidentally imbued with supernatural powers and goes on a quest to find God and have it out with Him for the sorry state He left the world in. What follows is a bloody mess of Biblical proportions as Custer kills his way all over the world searching for the Creator. The comic was a close-ended story so AMC could easily stretch it into 5-6 seasons if it does well.

Preacher (1)

Here’s to Seth Rogen and AMC turning a great comic into a great series. Lets all hope it happens. The Preacher pilot is set to premiere some time next year on AMC. Check out the full story over at IGN.
